Five pillars of Burger & Beer Week
1. Expect some places to run out
Like Restaurant Week, this is expected to be hugely popular. So don’t be too surprised if a place runs out of the burger special – especially toward the end of the day. Restaurants will make every effort to have enough on hand but you burger fanatics may make mincemeat out of them! If that happens, stay cool, order something else, grab a beer on special and maybe come back the next day – earlier next time 🙂
2. Try someplace new
Venture out of your ‘safe dining spaces’ and explore somewhere different. We also strongly suggest eating out every single day of B&B Week. Heck, with 40 burgers to choose from, it’s a mighty mound of meat to conquer.
3. Be nice
This should go without saying but… the entire restaurant staff really bust their tail during events like this. So be extra nice and tip appropriately. Just because the burgers and beer are cheap, doesn’t mean you have to be.
4. Share the love
Our amazing local charity, Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is counting on you! DIG Magazine (us!) will donate $1 for every burger photo (from a participating restaurant) you post to Instagram using #EatBR during the week-long event. So take a pic, tag the restaurant and hashtag #EatBR.
5. Fine print
The Burger & Beer Week promotion is for dine-in only. Of course tax and gratuity are extra. B&B specials are generally available for lunch (if open) and dinner hours, but check ahead to make sure your favorite joint is ready for you and your fellow meatheads.
